Knowledge is power, and withmarca24Find everything you need to know about your company online.

You can also set up notifications to email you quickly; For example, when there's a negative comment that needs your attention, or when there's a big spike in mentions that doesn't usually happen.

First steps with Brand24

Start withmarca24It's very simple, since its platform is very intuitive and easy to use from the first moment.

After logging into your account, you will be redirected to a page where you can start your first project:

To create a new project, just click "Add New Project" and you'll be presented with a few different options on what to monitor:

As you can see, there are 4 different options: Brand or Company, Sales Leads, Competitors, and Hashtag Tracking.

Next, it's time to enter the keywords you want to monitor:

You can then make a few more settings to configure your monitoring search, which you can also do after setting up your project by clicking "Edit" next to the project name:

As you can see, you can set required keywords (ie keywords that must appear in every mention) as well as excluded keywords (ie if those keywords are included in a mention, the mention will not appear). These features allow you to better filter your results so you only get the most relevant ones in your project dashboard.

You can take your filtering a little further by excluding sources from your search.

Click on "Sources" and choose whether you want to exclude Twitter, Facebook, blogs, forums or other sources. You can also exclude specific websites or authors, but you must first identify a mention of that source or author, click Remove, then select Remove result and block domain/author.

If you want to receive notifications, you can set them manually by clicking on "Notifications" and then on "Add more notifications":

You can choose how often you want to receive them, how many results you want to receive each time and where you want to be notified (email or mobile). The good thing is that they offer extensive filtering options to ensure you only get the most relevant results:

You can filter them by sentiment, influencer score, number of engagements, domain or author, source, and more.

Finally, you can also choose the email frequency of your reports and set up new recipients:

Brand24 projects and dashboard

Once you've set up the projects you want to monitor, you can finally look at the results the tool finds. This is what your dashboard would look like:

In the main graph you can see the exact number of mentions per day and the estimated reach on social networks:

You can then click View Interactions to break down the mentions by different interactions: Reach, Likes, Shares, and Comments:

Another option is to view the sentiment of your mentions by clicking View Sentiment:

If you scroll down your project dashboard, you can see mentions that you can search and filter in a variety of ways to get the most relevant results.

If you click on the sources above (Facebook, Twitter, All, Blogs, etc.) you can only see results from that source. The right side of your board is where the real fun is.

You can filter:

  • By Mood: Show only negative mentions or only positive mentions
  • By Influencer Score: The influencer filter allows you to search for influencers of all “sizes”. Basically, a score of 1 to 10 is used to determine an individual's influence, so you can choose the score you want to find, from small influencers mentioning the topic you want to top influencers in your niche.
  • By interactions: You can filter by the number of shares, likes or comments
  • By visits: select this option to only see over a certain number of visits
  • by domain
  • By Author (alternatively, you can mute an author by going to one of their mentions, clicking More, and then clicking Mute)
  • By Mark: If you have marked a mention, you can see it directly
  • Mention Order: Show only recently created or recently found
  • By Date: Receive only new mentions since you last logged in

As you can see, their filtering options are pretty extensive, making it easier for you to find relevant mentions. The only problem is that they don't offer geo-targeting filter options, which again is a feature they removed to keep the tool's price down. This could be an issue if your language is spoken in different countries, but in some cases, with some creative keyword filters and keywords to avoid, you could still use it and only get the results you need.

Analyse

If you go to the analysis, you can check the results of your mentions in more detail.

You can filter your mentions by the most engaging ones or only show the mentions of the most popular authors (great for discovering the top influencers in your niche). You can also see a more complete breakdown of your results, e.g. B. Interactions, positive vs. negative mentions, number of likes, etc.

As you can see in the screenshot above, you can view all your mentions by category and view lists of top authors.

There's also a word cloud with the most used words to help you further filter your results and find out what other keywords people are using.

Another cool feature is that when you go to compare you can make comparisons between your different projects to see how they stack up against each other:

reports

In terms of reporting, you have a few options. First, you can export all your data to an Excel file or create a PDF report with colors of your choice, your own logo, and finally, you can create an infographic with your most important ones. perspectives.

Let's start with the infographic. Basically, you can see a chart showing the number of mentions over the past month, a list of the most active sites and categories, a chart of sentiment, and a list of the most influential users:

Then, when you export your data, you'll have an Excel file with the mentions you've collected and all of the associated stats.

With the PDF report, as I mentioned before, you first configure it yourself and add the color you want and your logomarca24generates the report in "several tens of seconds":

You'll then receive a comprehensive PDF report that includes your mentions stats, a sentiment chart, lists of the top authors and influencers, the most active websites, and some sample mentions collected. As you can see in the screenshot above, you can also add some of your own comments; If you choose to do so, these comments will be included at the end of your report.

Prices

As I mentioned beforemarca24It is a much cheaper option for web monitoring. In fact, it's four times cheaper than other similar tools, making it a much better option for small businesses.

Their pricing starts at $49 per month for personal use, which includes 5 keywords, up to 50,000 mentions, and data and sentiment analysis.

The Professional Premium plan costs $99 per month and allows you to set up monitoring searches for up to 10 keywords and offers up to 400,000 mentions. Some additional features are also included, such as B. Live help and the ability to export your results to an Excel file.

[clickToTweet tweet=“Is @Brand24 the perfect #monitoring tool for SMEs? via @lilachbullock #SMB" quote="Is @Brand24 the perfect #monitoring tool for SMEs? via @lilachbullock #SMB”]

Finally, their most expensive plan is Professional Max at $399 per month and includes 25 keywords, up to a million mentions, and you even get your own advisor to help you through the process.

The reason they are so much cheaper than their competitors is that they have chosen not to provide historical data. That means you only get mentions from the date you start using it and configuring your searches. However, you will get some older data, but it's not 100% accurate if it's older than your project setup. Since they don't need to store all this data like other tools, they were able to make their tool much more cost-effective.

It's up to you to decide what's more important to you; For example, if you need historical data for market research, you're better off trying another tool. However, if you don't necessarily need historical data (e.g. if you want to use it to monitor mentions of your brand or certain keywords) this is a great option as it can save you a lot of money while also getting the data you need with one very easy to use interface.

Diploma

In general I thinkmarca24is an excellent professional monitoring tool, perfect for businesses of all sizes, but especially for small businesses and entrepreneurs who previously could not afford such a complex monitoring tool. And while you might not have as much historical data or geo-targeting, I think it's worth the trade-off considering how much more affordable the tool is than its competitors.

It's great for monitoring your online brand as well as your industry to keep up with the latest trends and top authors and influencers, and it's especially useful for lead generation as it makes it easier to monitor the web to to search for prospects and customers who you can then turn into leads.
